The UndocuAllies at Gavilan College, are committed to providing all students with the level of services and support they need by increasing awareness of the financial and general educational resources that are accessible to Undocumented Students. We will support, promote, advocate for, and assist to further their education.

How to Become an Undocu-Scholar
Complete the following steps if you think you meet AB 540 eligibility. If you are not sure, you can use this tool to help you see if you may be eligible to pay in-state tuition. Please note that the Admissions Office makes all final decisions regarding eligibility.
- Complete the Gavilan College application
- Apply for financial aid by submitting the California Dream Act Application online by the March 2 deadline.
- Submit the California Nonresident Tuition Exemption Request Form to the Admissions Office along with an unofficial high school transcript. If your transcript does not have your graduation date, you must also bring your high school diploma to the Admissions Office.
- Undocu-Scholars also known as AB540-Undocumented Students are eligible to participate in EOPS - A state-funded program that provides a wide variety of support services, including book vouchers, counseling, school supplies, priority registration, and more!
Free Immigration Legal Services
Gavilan College and the United Farm Workers (UFW) Foundation have partnered to bring free immigration legal services directly to ALL students, faculty, and staff. Immigration Attorneys and Department of Justice accredited representatives are available to provide free, culturally-competent, and reliable expertise to the campus community.
All consultations are completely confidential.
Services include:

- DACA Renewal
- Naturalization
- Family-based immigration
- Other immigration services
