Officers Needed!
GSVA is in need of 4 Officers (see vacancies below). It would be great to fill all positions, but it is critical we find a Secretary and ICC Representative. Please inquire with Kay Navarro in the VRC or contact Dewitt Stuckey at 408-848-4893 or dstuckey@gavilan.edu if you are interested.
Members Wanted!
GSVA (Vets Club) members like to be adventurous and we want you to be part of the fun! In the 2018/19 academic year Vets Club went to Break Stuff San Jose, San Jose Giants games, Bellator fights, a Tahoe ski trip, and indoor skydiving at iFly! We had a family BBQ/kickball event and participated for the fourth year in a row in Walk A Mile in Her Shoes to raise awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault.
GSVA meets twice monthly in the VRC to plan our events and fundraisers.

Gavilan Student Veterans of America is a chapter of the Student Veterans of America national organization.
The Gavilan Student Veterans of America chapter was founded in Fall of 2011 by a group of student veterans interested in helping veterans and families of veterans succeed and adapt to academic life at a community college.
Our club goals include: improving veteran services at Gavilan College, mentoring student veterans, bringing awareness to veteran issues, promoting understanding on campus, and working with the Gavilan extended community to foster veteran success.
As a club we are committed to Service, Scholarship, and being Social. Each semester we aim to do one service project, one event related to academics (scholarship), and at least one social event. See the schedule below to learn more about what we have planned this semester!
For more information about the club inquire in the Veterans Resource Center in Library 109.
