Online Teaching Mentors
Welcome to The Online Teaching Mentor Program
Teaching is Hard Work. Let a Mentor help you!
New online teachers, request a mentor.
Purpose: To connect our trained Peer Online Course Reviewers with new Online Instructors (Mentees). After reviewing the Course Design Rubric criteria with their Mentees, Mentors will help their Mentees through course Self-Assessment. Feedback & guidance will be given to Mentees throughout the semester.
At the end of the semester, participants will provide feedback regarding the experience. Mentees will be encouraged to apply for the POCR process to have their course reviewed for “Quality Reviewed” status.
Why apply? Because "Quality Reviewed" courses have on average a 5% higher success rate than non designated "Quality Reviewed" online courses. Visit the state-wide CVC-OEI Initiative to learn about it's efforts.
