What do I need?

A computer and an internet connection

You should be able to use any recent computer or laptop. Windows, Mac or Chromebook should be fine.

If you want to use your smartphone or tablet, it will work most of the time. However, we recommend that you have access to a computer because:

Some classes will require software that doesn't run on a phone.
It is best to save your own copy of any work that you turn in.

Enough time for a full college class

Although you won't need to come to campus, you still need to be sure that you've set aside enough time for a college class. A 3 unit class can take up to 10 hours a week of lecture, reading, and homework. To be successful, you'll need to commit the time to class.

Organization to know and meet your deadlines.

The most common reason to fail an online class is forgetting about due dates and deadlines. To be successful, you'll need to keep track of what is due and when it is due.
