During Rock & Enroll Day, you can receive assistance applying to Gavilan College, applying for Financial Aid, and registering for Spring 2025 classes.
If you need assistance with your Application for Admission or with your Financial Aid Application, simply show up to the event below. You do not need to sign up.
If you need assistance Registering for Spring 2025 Classes AND you have already applied to Gavilan College, bring your Gav ID number, and your Pin Number. We can help you enroll in classes!
*Please note that in order to register for classes, you must have already applied to Gavilan College, have a Gav ID number (G00#), and a pin number set up. Bring your Gav ID number and pin number with you to your appointment and ensure that you are able to login to your myGav student portal.
What is Rock & Enroll Day?
Rock & Enroll Day is designed to assist you with the enrollment steps at Gavilan College! College staff, peer mentors and counselors will be available on-site to walk you through:
- Applying for Admission: Get assistance with creating an account on CCC Apply and completing your application for admissions. You'll report your high school GPA, highest level of Math and English courses you've completed and grades earned in those courses. Be sure to bring your Social Security number if you have one.
- Opening Your MyGav Account: Assistance with creating a password for your student account. If you did not include a Social Security Number on your application, Admissions and Records staff will assist you with logging in for the first time. Be sure to bring your Social Security number if you have one.
- Registering for Spring 2025 Classes: To prepare to register for classes, please be sure to:
- Complete the Online Student Orientation located in your MyGav portal. Under the Student tab, look for the Orientations and Workshops icon. It takes approximately one hour to complete.
- Bring your Gavilan ID number (G00#) and Pin Number / Password.
- Optional: Bring your laptop if you have one.
- Applying for Financial Aid: Knowledgeable staff will be available to walk you through the online Financial Aid Applications for 2024-2025.
- Choose only one: Depending on student status
- FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- Complete the FAFSA Application, website: https://fafsa.gov
- CADAA (California Dream Act Application).
- Complete the CADAA Application, website: https://dream.csac.ca.gov/
- Complete the CADAA Application, website: https://dream.csac.ca.gov/
- FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- Choose only one: Depending on student status
- What you will need to apply for Financial Aid:
- Social Security card or number (Alien Reg #if you are an eligible Non-Citizen) If parent does not have SSN- enter zeros.
- Driver’s License, if you have one.
- Bring both (Students & Parents) income and Federal taxes (tax year 2022), along with any W-2 Forms. (Any records of untaxed inform such as child support payments, retirements accounts, short-term disability, or worker’s compensation.
*If you are interested in receiving accommodations through the Accessible Education Center (AEC), please bring a valid verification of eligibility for disability services such as: school documentation (504 or IEP) or medical records. If you would like an appointment with an AEC counselor at the event, please contact aec@gavilan.edu
