The Math Lab serves all levels of math and is an excellent resource for Math 5 Statistics support and other non-STEM pathway math courses (Math 6, 7, & 14). OPEN SATURDAYS in-person!

Math Lab Tutoring Schedule - Spring 2023
Interested in Becoming a Math/STEM Tutor? We Are Hiring Now!
The rumors are true! Our math tutors see a significant boost in their grades and confidence within the first semester of joining our team. We offer bi-weekly training meetings in a supportive community with a mix of experienced and first time tutors.
We are actively recruiting for Fall 2023 semester. Recruitment deadline will be Friday, June 16th.
Since Math Tutors are paid positions, there are a few requirements for the role – listed below:
- Tutors must take at least 6 units per semester while they are working.
- All fall tutors must complete Guidance 28: Tutoring Techniques (CRN: 80734).
- Guidance 28 is a two-week course from August 14 to 25, 2023, meeting on Monday & Thursday, 10 am – 2:15 pm.
- All tutors must attend regular tutor training which occurs every other week during the semester.
- All tutors must be in good academic standing.

Prepare for Math - Summer 2023 Bootcamp
These following courses with take place on Monday, Aug. 14th - Friday, Aug. 18th and meets MTWTh&F from 9-4:10pm with a 30 minute lunch.
Prepare for Transfer Level Math - Math 217
CRN 80740; 2.0 Units; Room: LS 106; Instructor: Elena Dachkova
A remedial mathematics course designed for those students who need to learn, or re-learn fundamental concepts of math. The primary emphasis is on algebraic expressions, linear/quadradic equations and applications, polynomials, graphing, and functions. Units earned in the course do not count toward the associate degree and/or certain certificate requirements. This class is an intense preparation for Math 5, Math6, Math 7, and Math 8A. This is a pass/no pass course.
Prepare for Calculus Bootcamp - Math 219
CRN 80382; 2.0 Units; Room: MA 102; Instructor: Marla Dresch
This is a course for students who wish to refresh or re-learn fundamental algebraic or pre-calculus concepts. The focus is on polynomial, trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions and equations and graphs of these functions. This class is preparation for Math 8B, Math 1A, or Math 1B. This is a pass/no pass course.
