Community College Emergency Preparedness Course
Dear Gavilan College Employees,
To meet state and federal regulations, all college personnel must take a Community College Emergency Preparedness Course. We have contracted with West Coast Consulting Group, Inc., which is providing the "Professional Development for General Personnel" for you to complete online.
All employees are required to complete this course by registering or logging in at the West Coast online classroom and using the following activation code:

Please follow these steps:
If this is your first time taking a West Coast course:
- Open the West Coast online classroom by clicking this link or typing this URL into your browser: https://wccginc.com/classroom/
- Click the green Register Here button.
- Fill out the entire form. Be sure your email address is correct, as you will need to receive an email and follow a link to confirm your enrollment for verification and security purposes.
- In the Activation Code box, enter 16035.
- Click the Register New Account button. If you get the message "This Email is already in use," then you already have a West Coast account. Please follow the returning user steps below.
- Check your email account that you used when filling out the registration form. You will receive an activation email from West Coast. These emails are sent immediately. Follow the instructions in the email and click the Activate Your Account link. If you do not see this email, please check your "Junk" or "Spam" folder, as your institution’s antispam filter may have flagged it.
- The link will open your browser to the Online Classroom. You will see a message above the login form that says "Account Activated." You can now log in with the username or email address and the password you selected.
- You are now in your classroom with a list of your courses. You can click the course name to begin your course.
If this is NOT your first time taking a West Coast course:
- Open the West Coast online classroom by clicking this link or typing this URL into your browser: https://wccginc.com/classroom/
- Sign in with your existing account. If you don’t remember your username or password, click Forgot Password? and enter your email address to receive an email with instructions on resetting your account password.
- On your courses page, type or paste activation code 16035 into the add course box at the bottom of the page, and click the Add Course button.
- The new course will now be listed in your course list. Click the provided link to refresh the page or manually refresh your browser.
- You are now in your classroom with a list of your courses. You can click the course name to begin your course.
All employees are required to complete this course by December 13 at 5:00 PM.
