El Centro Repeat a Course
Did you receive an error message when you attempted to register for a class you've enrolled in before?
Students attempting to take a class for the 2nd or 3rd time, must do the following to register for desired course:
Step 1: Make an appointment with your counselor
Step 2: Complete all forms & directions from counselor
Step 3: Connect with a representative from Admissions & Records Office through our Student Welcome Center & click on “Join live ZOOM for help"
Step 4: Be ready to share:
- Your name
- Photo Identification
- Reason for visit
- Course Name(s)
- CRN #(s)
Step 5: Follow agreements made on your improvement plan & contact your counselor if you have any questions or concerns.
Please Note: Student's attempting a 4th time, need to complete the Academic Appeal Petition. Once completed, the form should be emailed to admissions@gavilan.edu. This form is then reviewed by a committee that meets at least two times per month. Student is contacted about the decision after the committee meets. These requests are generally not approved. The student should be prepared to take the course elsewhere.
