The Gavilan College Counseling Department leads by implementing innovative and holistic approaches to student-centered services. We strive to support students to explore, identify and pursue their professional, educational, and personal goals. We foster self-advocacy by providing students the tools and resources to successfully navigate higher education. We value compassion, empathy, and courage, and use Gavilan's Principles of Community to guide our work with students as a department within our institution.
