A coeducational course designed to offer the prospective athletic trainer, physical therapist, or physical educator a continuing practical experience reinforcing and applying the concepts and terminology learned in PE 3, Introduction to Athletic Training, and the field of athletic training. The purpose of PE 3A is to provide a comprehensive, progressive educational and practical foundation in preparation for transition into allied health studies. Knowledge in the recognition, assessment, and care of athletic injuries or practical experience in care and prevention of athletic injuries is recommended. May be repeated three times for credit.
