THEA 12A:    Acting: History and Practice

An introduction to the historical development of acting as a practice of human cultural expression. Students will acquire a vocabulary for theatre performance as an art form and analyze dramatic works in a historical context. Theory and practice of acting for film and television. Students will learn basic performance techniques for the camera. THEA 22:    Field Work and Service

Required: Learning contracts must be filled out and signed by the student and the supervising instructor.

Supervised field work within the college and with local agencies. Students serve in useful group activities in leadership roles prescribed for them by faculty or community agencies. A maximum of six units may be completed. This is a credit/no credit course.
