MATH 6:    Calculus for Business/Social Science

This course applies the fundamental principles and techniques of calculus to problems in business, economics, the life sciences and the social sciences. This course is not intended for students majoring in engineering, the physical sciences or math. Using a calculator is required. Graphing calculator is recommended.

This course is a standard beginning algebra course, including algebraic expressions, linear equations and inequalities in one variable, graphing, equations and inequalities in two variables, integer exponents, polynomials, rational expressions and equations, radicals and rational exponents, and quadratic equations.
