A course designed to assist the student in learning more about personal values, personality, interests, exploration of career choice, and occupational opportunities through the use of various personal assessment instruments. This course is also listed as PSYC 5.

This course will allow students to gain valuable experience in the field of teaching. Students will practice the skills they have learned in Guidance 28. Guidance 29 may be repeated for a maximum of 2.0 units per semester and a maximum course total of 8.0 units. This is a credit/no credit course.

This course is designed to assist students with disabilities in achieving career goals and obtaining employment. Course content is based on individual educational plans. This plan defines the individual goal(s) the student will be expected to achieve. The student will develop a job search plan, keep a current resume, and contact appropriate employers. Activities will also include goal setting, interviewing, and disability management. This is a credit/no credit course.

This class is designed for learning disabilities students who have completed Guidance 557 and who would profit from remediation in spelling, vocabulary development, organizational skills, fundamental critical thinking and basic writing skills. The emphasis will be on providing the students with a positive academic experience. The students will begin at their individual level and progress at their own rate.
