JIM FRAZIER
STAR Video Leader
One day in 1969 Mr. Jim visited a technician friend who was testing a newfangled Ampex video camera/recorder. He recorded & played back a few minutes of that black&white video, and it was like Mr. Toad and the motor car: an instant fascination with electronic images that has lasted 35 years . . . so far.
What could make video more fascinating? The brilliant perspectives of creative STAR kids. Video is all about capturing light and sound, and the light we capture is STARlight, the sound is the chorus of young voices building a future for us all. Mr. Jim has been directing STAR Video & teaching Gavilan College video production classes for seven years. He spent a prior lifetime helping to make commercials & news shows at KSBW, and has been involved in numerous independent films of highly variable quality.
