WHO: Piano students ranging from 5th - 12th grades will be competing.
WHAT: The Marian Filice Youth Piano Competition provides an opportunity for local young pianists to perform and compete for scholarships.
This year 24 contestants are expected to perform two contrasting pieces from the classical repertoire (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Contemporary), and 28 people will perform during the festival.

WHY: Marian Filice was a supporter of music and arts education, and she taught piano locally for many years. The generous support of the Filice family makes this competition possible.
