"Every year Gavilan College invites local high school artists to exhibit
their creations; every year, the creative energy from our local youth
intensifies. This year is no exception. IMIX: Infinite Potential
encompasses the passion and creative energy befitting of genius.
"It is an honor and inspiration for the Gavilan community to host such
works of art. As an art educator I am excited at the potential of
having some of these talented youth choose to continue their creative
path here at Gavilan College. Since the exhibition was installed I have
heard numerous comments by Gavilan art students expressing their
enthusiasm for the work they see--it truly is an inspiration and motivation.
"Earlier this year we had an exhibition entitled Creative Catalyst:
Artists that Teach. Now it's the students who will awe and inspire us.
Bravo for the educators that make that extra effort to inspire
students-- Bravisimo for the students that take the bold steps of
creativity and discover their own journey."
