WHO: People of all ages who love art, crafts, music, and outdoor festivals
WHAT: Are invited to attend the 1st Annual Expressive Arts Festival at Gavilan College. This outdoor festival on the beautiful Gavilan College Gilroy campus will be a day for community enjoyment of the arts. The festival will feature live music, crafts vendors, an art exhibit, and children's activities. Admission to the festival, and event parking, are free to the public.
WHEN: Saturday, April 12 from noon to7 p.m. Outdoor pre-show for the theater begins at 6:45 p.m.
WHERE: Gavilan College Gilroy campus, Arts Quad, in front of the theater. 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd.
WHY: The festival is the brainchild of student Marta Sherwood, president of the Gavilan College Music Club, who wanted to provide a day for celebration and enjoyment of the arts, and a venue for local musicians and artists to perform and exhibit. The daytime festival will run until the evening production of "Macbett" in the Gavilan College Theater.
