Gavilan College Community Education Fall 2005 class announcements for September
The Gavilan College Community Education office will offer the following classes in September:
• Beginning Computers and the Internet will be offered on Thursdays, September 1-8, 2005 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room BU111. The class fee is $95.00. The class will be taught by Betsy Pollick.
• Photography will be offered on Thursdays, September 8 - October 6, 2005 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room CJ500. The class fee is $70.00. The class will be taught by A. Dennis Gaxiola.
• Make Money the Old Fashioned Way - Buy Fixer-Uppers will be offered on Friday, September 9, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room LI100. The class fee is $49.00. The class will be taught by Warren E. Racine.
• Word-Beginning will be offered on Saturday, September 10, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room BU111. The class fee is $95.00. The class will be taught by Betsy Pollick.
• Foreclosures: The Good, the Bad and the Fantastic! will be offered on Saturday, September 10, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room LI100. The class fee is $89.00. The class will be taught by Warren E. Racine.
• Use Your Home Equity to Create Real Estate Wealth will be offered on Saturday, September 10, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room CJ500. The class fee is $45.00 with a $39.00 materials fee payable to the instructor. Couples may attend this class for a $75.00 fee. The class will be taught by Warren E. Racine.
• Beginning Guitar will be offered on Saturdays, September 10 - October 29, 2005 from 9:15 - 10:30 a.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room TH127. The class fee is $90.00 with a $10.00 workbook fee payable in class to the instructor. The class will be taught by Phil Vargas.
• Learn to Email will be offered on Saturday, September 10, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. at the Gavilan College Campus in Hollister in room HOL3. The class fee is $50. The class will be taught by Judy Rodriguez.
• Excel - Beginning will be offered on Thursdays, September 15 - 22, 2005 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room BU111. The class fee is $95.00. The class will be taught by Betsy Pollick. Another section for this class will also be offered on Saturday, September 17, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room BU111. The class fee is $95.00. The class will be taught by Betsy Pollick.
• Sign Language will be offered from Monday, September 19 - November 7, 2005 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Gavilan College Campus in Morgan Hill in room MHG12. The class fee is $75.00 with a $17.00 materials fee payable in class to the instructor. The class will be taught by Barbara Cabello Khan. Another section will be offered on Wednesdays, September 21 - November 9, 2005 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room HU103. The class fee is $75.00 with a $45.00 materials fee payable in class to the instructor. The class will be taught by Barbara Cabello Khan.
• Notary Public Workshop and Exam will be offered on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 20 - 21, 2005 from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room SS210. The class fee is $70.00 with a $40.00 materials fee payable in class to the instructors. The class will be taught by Jed Gladstein and Virginia Grace-Braun. An optional Notary exam will be offered on Thursday, September 22, 2005 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room AL101. The exam fee is $40.00. Only checks or money orders will be accepted for the exam fee. Checks or money orders should be made payable to the California Secretary of State.
• Word-Intermediate will be offered on Saturday, September 24, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room BU111. The class fee is $95.00. The class will be taught by Betsy Pollick.
• Introduction to Astrology will be offered on Tuesdays, September 27 - October 11, 2005 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in room HU101. The class fee is $55.00. The class will be taught by Jeanne Alkire.
• Ballroom Dance - Latin will be offered on Wednesdays from September 28-November 16, 2005 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Rod Kelley School in the Cafeteria. The class fee is $55.00. The class will be taught by Gary Mader.
• Access will be offered on Thursdays, September 29 - October 6, 2005 from 6:30 -9:30 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room BU111. The class fee is $95.00. The class will be taught by Betsy Pollick.
