WHO: People who want to take a class for fun or personal enrichment, but don't need college credit or want the stress of exams and grades.
WHAT: Can register for a variety of fun, not-for-credit classes offered by the Gavilan College Community Education department. Classes are low cost, taught by local professionals, and provide a great way to learn and meet people. Some classes meet only once, some for multiple sessions.
The Gavilan College Community Education office is excited to announce the following classes:
• Fencing-Beginning will be offered on Mondays, August 22 through December 19, 2005 from 6:30 to 9:20 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room APE101. The class fee is $78.00 with a $6.00 materials fee. The class will be taught by John DeCesare.
• Private Pilot Ground School will be offered on Tuesdays, August 23 through November 8, 2005 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room HU103. The class fee is $120.00. The class will be taught by Charles Jackson.
• Beginning Computers and the Internet will be offered on Saturday, August 27, 2005 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room BU111. The class fee is $95.00. The class will be taught by Betsy Pollick.
• Piano Instantly for People with no Spare Time will be offered on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room HU101. The class fee $42.00 with a $25.00 materials fee. The class will be taught by Todd Walker.
• Learn to Play Music by Ear will be offered on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Gavilan College Main Campus in Gilroy in room HU103. The class fee is $42.00 with a $25.00 materials fee. The class will be taught by Todd Walker.
