WHO: People who would like to explore the creative arts
WHAT: are invited to participate in the 2nd annual Gavilan College
Creativity Festival. Entitled "IMIX: Infinite Potential,
" this regional festival will
feature a day of workshops and performance opportunities in a range of
creative endeavors including haiku, hip-hop, poetry slam, mural
painting, and folklorico dance. Workshop offerings also include
generating new material, breaking through writer's block, and computer
graphics. The fee for particpation is $5 per person, payable at
registration. Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook and a few
pens or pencils, and their energy and ideas. Lunch will be provided.
This event is open to the community. Preregistration is not required.
WHEN: Saturday, March 29, 2003, 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
WHY: IMIX is a day to create work that reflects how we each experience
the world. It is intended as a regional celebration of the creative
arts, with participation from a diverse audience.
