Part-Time and Substitute Instructors

Gavilan Community College must adhere to the Minimum Qualifications set forth by the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office when establishing hiring criteria and/or determining hiring eligibility.

All Adjunct Faculty applicants must submit proof that they can meet the stated minimum qualifications for the position they are applying. Please click on the link for the position in which you are interested. The link will provide the minimum qualifications required and provide you with an email and/or mailing address for you to submit your application materials.

After reviewing the minimum qualifications for the position you are interested in applying, please submit the following:

1. Unofficial transcripts (official transcripts will be required if hired for the position)
2. Cover letter indicating why you are interested in the position.
3. Current resume (you will be required to complete a district application if hired for the position.

Submit all the documents above to the Dean listed on the web site.

Candidates not holding the state minimum qualifications will need to apply to the district for consideration on the basis of equivalency. If you are requesting equivalency you will need to complete an additional form "Supplement Application for Equivalency Determination"
