Here are some of the most frequent questions we get. If you read this list and can't fix your problem, please email me: disted@gavilan.edu . I will find answers and get back to you as quickly as possible.
Q: How do I log in for the first time?
A: Take the tour to find your username and password.
Q: I've tried to log in and the system tells me I'm invalid. What am I doing wrong?
A: You cannot log into your class until the first day of classes. Patience. :-)
Q: How do I use attachments for essays and word documents?
A: Save the file as RTF format.
Q: How do I upload an assignment into Moodle?
A: Write your assignment as a file in a separate program, and choose that file to turn it in.
Q: I spent 40 minutes on my assignment, and then I lost it all! I hate it when that happens.
A: Its a good habit to write your assignments in your word processor, and copy the final product into the classroom.
Q: My instructor is using PowerPoint files and I don't have Microsoft Office.
A: Download the free PowerPoint viewer to open these files.
Q: How can I let my instructor know what I think about her class?
A: Use our course evaluation form. We appreciate the feedback.
